With the progress of technology and used materials in the modern FNM Marine engines, it’s often possible to achieve a power equal or greater with a smaller and lighter engine, increasing acceleration and maximum speed.

But, of course there are other aspects you have to consider, as the fact that a more powerful engine may request a different marine gearing, stronger bases engine, drive shafts and larger propellers, additional capacity of fuel tank, reworking of the air intake and existing waste system.
